DESCRIPTION:Join us at the River Center for our monthly lecture series!\nOur February speaker is Harper Carroll, Fire Manager for PBC ERM\nHarper Carroll  is the Fire Manager for Palm Beach County ERM’s Natural Areas Program.\nHe has a BS in Biology from Loyola New Orleans, an Environmental MBA from FAU\nand a MS in Forestry Resource and Conservation from UF. Harper has spent 30\nyears working on ecosystem restoration and management restoration projects\naround central and south Florida, spanning from the Kissimmee River Restoration,\na massive undertaking that is a joint partnership between state and federal\nagencies, to local Palm Beach County Natural Areas, which encompass 32,000\nacres and are the crown jewels of the County. His 20-year career with Palm Beach\nCounty has taken him from managing ecosystem restoration projects to\norganizing, facilitating, and conducting prescribed burns and fuels management as\nthe Fire Manager, a position he has held for the last 10 years. Harper lives in\nNorth Palm Beach with his wife and 2 children, where he enjoys fishing and\nspending time in nature.
