DESCRIPTION:Join us at the River Center for our monthly lecture series!\nOur October speaker is Catherine Ricketts\nFriday, October 2nd , 2026 | 12pm – 1pm\nIndigo Snake Project\nEastern indigo snakes used to roam widely across North Florida, but by the mid-1980s they were essentially gone from the landscape. The Nature Conservancy (TNC) recognized an opportunity to join in the restoration effort to bring the snake back to its historic range and restore balance to the ecosystem. Join this lecture to learn more about the breeding program and how you can support major milestones!\nRegistration is required to attend.\nThis event is not recommended for children under the age of 14. \nRegister\n \nThe River Center reserves the right to cancel the program due to low registration, unforeseen circumstances, or inclement weather.
