River Center Lecture Series – Presentation by Amanda Waite
Join us at the River Center for our monthly lecture series!
Join the River Center in welcoming Amanda Waite from The Angari Foundation for her presentation on Marine Debris.
The talk will focus on marine debris and, in particular, ANGARI Foundation’s ongoing citizen science experiment investigating how marine debris moves in and around Palm Beach County. Our Lake Worth Lagoon Drift Card study is now in its third year and I’ll discuss how the experiment works, how the local community has gotten involved, and how we and our partners are using this platform to raise awareness of marine debris and its impact on the environment. I’ll also share the findings from our first four Lagoon Drift experiments and talk about our plans for the future.
Don’t miss this great presentation!
Drift cards will be available after the lecture for guests to decorate.
