Project Wild Educator Workshop

Calling all pre-school, grade school, homeschooling, and informal educators!

The River Center is hosting a Project WILD and Growing Up WILD Educator Workshop open to all on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:00am-3:00pm. The Project WILD K-12 Curriculum Activity Guide focuses on wildlife and habitat. Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills.

This is a free event and all materials are provided. Space is limited, registration is required by contacting Education@LRECD.org or 561-743-7123.

This educator training is open to anyone interested in gaining more opportunities to learn about teaching outdoor wildlife activities like formal teachers, non-formal nature center educators, youth group leaders, homeschooling parents, volunteers, scout troop leaders, or citizens that work with young people. The goal of Project WILD is to assist students of any age in developing awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to result in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment.

So, don’t miss out on this exciting workshop!
