Science with Sam Green Teens | Select Saturday’s from 10am-11:30am join our Scientist Sam, and guest professionals for hands-on opportunities in the environmental world and earn volunteer hours. Ages 13-17
Science with Sam Family Fun | Select week days from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, join our Scientist Sam for different science and nature based activities for the whole family
Activities will include wildlife encounters, garden exploration, science experiments, and more! This is a drop off program.

Composting 101

Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 @ 4pm – 5pm
Location: River Center

🌱Did you know there are lots of different ways to make compost? Some are fast and hot, some are slow and cool, and some even use worms or special little microbes to help! In this class, we’ll explore the many different composting methods and discover how they turn food scraps and yard waste into rich, healthy soil. We’ll talk about what makes each composting unique, the pros and cons of each, and which ones might work best in a garden like yours. By the end, you’ll have new ideas for helping the earth—and maybe even a favorite way to compost!🐜

🌿Step into the world of storytelling where film meets the environment. In this hands-on class, you’ll get an exclusive first look at an upcoming wildlife film and discover how powerful media can inspire change. Together, we’ll highlight incredible animals and create our own short films to share their EcoStories.🐾

🎬From brainstorming ideas to filming and editing, you’ll learn how to use the camera as your voice—and your vision—to make a difference. By the end, you’ll walk away with original content ready to share, and the tools to keep telling stories that matter.🌊

Each student will earn 2 hours of volunteer service for attending!
