Location: River Center
In this lesson students will take a guided walk through the River Center Garden using their Nature Baggies to help them discover and investigate wildlife along the way. Students will use River Center binoculars while exploring, and take place in a group nature craft at the end of class. All equipment is provided; Closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and water bottle are required, hat and sunglasses are recommended.
Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 @ 4pm – 5pm

In this lesson students will learn the purpose of a leaf, how plants use them, how animals use them, and their basic functions. Students will venture into the River Center Garden to see leaves in action and collect a few to create various leaf crafts. All equipment is provided; Closed-toe shoes and water bottle are required, hat and sunglasses are recommended.

Bring your inner mad scientist alive! In this lesson students will conduct various science experiments with a spooky twist as we gear up for Halloween. All equipment will be provided.

This is a wildlife encounter class meeting some of the creepiest crawliest animals, of Florida and beyond, in spirit of Halloween! Students will have the opportunity to touch some of our creepy critters!
Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 @ 4pm – 5pm
Location: River Center
In this lesson students will learn how clouds are formed, what natural factors influence them, and how to identify cloud types outside. Students will also conduct a cloud forming experiment in our weather lab.

Join us for a class of meeting and learning about various reptiles, of the loxahatchee and from far continents! This is a wildlife encounter class with opportunities for students to touch education animals.
Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 @ 4pm – 5pm
Location: River Center
In this lesson students will learn about various wildlife tracks & scat. Students will learn how to identify common wildlife tracks/scat and learn how use this knowledge while spending time outdoors. Students will understand how other animals can use these clues in hunting and how native tribes used these clues for survival.
