May 4th – Eerie Erosion & Living Shorelines
Join our Scientist Sam for different science activities!
This lesson will focus on the eerie effects of erosion to our shores and coastlines and discuss ways to mitigate erosion damage. The class will be looking as sites where erosion is a big issue and areas where living shorelines were installed to reduce erosion damage. Students will take part in erosion demos, pot mangroves, and take home an erosion experiment. This is an off-site program. Closed-toe shoes and water bottle are required.
There is no cost for this program but please RSVP to attend. Space is limited
