Science with Sam Green Teens – Composting 101

January 10th – Composting 101
Join our Scientist Sam for different science activities!
Ages 13-17

Guest: Melissa Corichi – Safe Compost Operator

🌱Did you know there are lots of different ways to make compost? Some are fast and hot, some are slow and cool, and some even use worms or special little microbes to help! In this class, we’ll explore the many different composting methods and discover how they turn food scraps and yard waste into rich, healthy soil. We’ll talk about what makes each composting unique, the pros and cons of each, and which ones might work best in your home garden. We will be getting our hands a bit dirty with compost, but by the end, you’ll have new ideas for helping the earth—and maybe even a favorite way to compost!🐜

Each student will earn 2 hours of volunteer service for attending!

There is no cost for this program but please RSVP to attend. Space is limited
