
Wilderness Skills – Knot Tying & Orienteering
Join the River Center for our Wilderness Skills workshops!
In this lesson, we’ll explore useful knots and knot-tying techniques, along with orienteering, the skill of navigating with a compass!
This series is designed to educate participants on various wilderness skills to encourage outdoor recreation.
Each class will focus on different outdoor skills. We recommend taking all classes for the full experience.
This three-part series will include natural shelter building, orienteering, and more!
Ages 8+
Dates:
October 25th – “Knot Tying & Orienteering” taking place at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area
December 6th – “How to Build a Shelter” taking place at the Loxahatchee River District’s 20 Acres (directions will be supplied to registered participants)
January 31st – “Leave No Trace” taking place at Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area
